Soaking Up The Sunshine
The day was Saturday. The husband was at work. The daughter and I were bored. The sun was shining and warm. All this leads up to...
Golden Hour Session!
My original thought was the railroad tracks by our house, but once we got in motion and were actually going to do it, I decided to go for a different location. We have a viewpoint that we enjoy so Zenna and I jumped in the car and headed there. (This is Jenny writing, just in case you didn't know) :D
As luck would have it though, the wildflowers I thought were going to be perfect for the scene I was picturing in my head, were all dead. So, we just kept driving.... I'm watching the sun get closer and closer to going behind this hill, and I know we don't have much time left to shoot.
I look around and see an empty field and decide "good enough!" So we jumped out and started shooting.
My first few shots were staring directly into the sun which is kind of no no for the lens Ben told me later, but also is how you get good lens flare. And boy did I get some lens flare!
Zenavieve has been our model pretty much since the day after we brought her home from the hospital. By my last count we have done 36 actual photo-shoots of, or with Zenna not including the one I am showing you now.
I tell you this because I want you all to know the only posing I directed was for her to cross her legs when she was squatting down. All other poses were her own. I said "strike a pose" and "now do something else" and she did the rest. She's our little super model!
Zenna and I had a great time! It was a beautiful sunset with my beautiful daughter! We hope you all enjoy the photos as much as we do!
And here's the sunset that ended the night. :)
